Will The Curt Echo Continue to Work While Using Apple CarPlay?
Updated 05/21/2021 | Published 05/19/2021 >
Question:
I know the Curt Echo isnt compatible with CarPlay in the sense that theres no CarPlay app for the Echo. But since the Echo depends on Bluetooth connection to my phone, can I still use CarPlay at the same time as the Echo? The manual override feature isnt particularly important to me, as long as the brake controller is functioning per the settings.

Expert Reply:
Yes, the Curt Echo # C51180 will continue to operate under the last settings that were programed. This is intended as a safety device incase you were to have your phone battery die or lost connection.
You will still be able to access the Echo App on your phone when connected to Apple Carplay. The same is true for Android Auto.
