One Side of Solera Power Awning Does Not Work

Question:

Ive got a 2018 connect 24 foot. The last outing, my awning decided that it would only roll out or in on one side. I have to help the other side. The front joint works but the rear joint is the one that needs help and it doesnt feel tight more like loose. Is there a motor at both ends of the awning? Or maybe one of those plastic gears are broken. Thanks

For only one side of the awning working, since the motor is only on one side for the drive head, it is likely that the idler head on your awning is what needs replacing. I'm not 100 percent sure what you are referring to by front or rear joint, but if you try opening the awning again, and see the idler head - which will be the one on the left if you are facing the awning - not moving, then it is damaged and needs replacing, which you can do with the following:
