What Size Door Does Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR98SR Have

Question:
It says a 16X16 door . . . does that mean the door is 16X16 or that it is to cover a 16X16 opening on my trailer. I have the Atwood GC6AA-10E so the opeining on my trailer is 16X16. Will this door cover it completely or do I need a bigger door? The measuremenst are very important and I find them confusing so I want to make sure I dont end up having to buy something else.

Hey Guy, The “16" x 16"” on the Furrion Tankless Water Heater # FR98SR refers to the exterior access door, not the required trailer cutout. The exact dimensions are:
Exterior door: 16-1/8" x 16-1/8"
Water-heater body: about 12-5/8" x 12-5/8"
Required cutout: approximately 12-3/4" x 12-3/4"

I have a 16x16 cutout with the Atwood/Lippert water heater GC6AA-10E. I pulled it our yesterday and measured depth at 25" so the FR98SR should fit nicely. However, the current cover is 18"X14.5" so can you recommend a better door fit?
