Question:

Good morning, Im considering air bags for a 2018 GMC 3500HD DRW which will be used for primarily towing a 44 foot 5th wheel toy hauler with a GVWR of 21000#. Would the Firestone or air ride install better with my after market mounting brackets. And would one of these be noticeably better than the other? Thank you

Though the Air Lift # AL57538 and the Firestone # F2709 both have a 7,500 pound load capacity, lifetime warranty, will work with an in bed hitch, and are made in the U.S.A., I do prefer the Firestone.

Reason being, the air bags for the # F2709 are 4 ply, whereas the air bags on the # AL57538 are 2 ply. This gives the bags more durability and a longer lifespan. Other than some bracketry differences, this is the deciding factor for me.
