Question:
What should the tire pressure be on a ST20575R 15 tire

Expert Reply:
The tire pressure you use in your tires should be what is suggested by the trailer manufacturer. This information is found on the trailer information tag that is generally found on the front drivers side of the trailer. The tag is similar to ones found on a vehicle in that it will give you the axle load rating and a manufacturer suggested tire pressure. I recommend a Tire Pressure Gauge # TMG-AAA-Multi to check your tire pressures.
You will want to ensure that you do not exceed the maximum tire pressure rating that is given by the tire manufacturer. This information can be found on the sidewall of your tire.
The tire pressures recommended by both the trailer manufacturer and tire manufacturer are given as cold tire pressures. When the tire heats up from driving the pressure will climb and this is perfectly normal. Be sure to adjust tire pressures when the tire is cold.
If the trailer manufacturer did not give a pressure recommendation you should use the tire manufacturer's maximum pressure as your tire pressure.
A TireMinder Smart TPMS # TPMS-APP-4 can be installed as replacement valve stem caps and will allow you to monitor your tire pressures from your smart phone through the TireMinder app. This is great for detecting any leaks that might occur while you drive and can help identify a tire issue before you have a blowout.
