Is this hitch compatible with a Lexus RX 350 2021 with a rear trunk kick sensor? Thanks

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C73DR you were looking at is a confirmed fit for your 2021 Lexus RX 350 and will fit with your rear lift gate sensor though it will likely change the location your foot must be to activate the sensor.

You will need to place your foot to the left or right of the receiver for the sensor to detect your foot.

If you are planning on towing with your RX 350 you will also need a vehicle wiring harness # C56217.

I have purchased the Curt Trailer Hitch receiver #C73DR. I am going to install it on my 2022 Lexus RX 350 with the rear hatch kick sensor. I am unsure of how to protect/remove the sensor while I am cutting the notch in the facia for the receiving tube clearance. Can you send me pictures and give me an explanation of how to do this. I have seen the pictures of the sensor where they talk about removing two clips, but on my car it appears to be a panel which runs along the inside of the facia and I don't know if I can remove it or simply pry it up off the facia while cutting the notch. Help!

@JerryS I can't find any pictures/videos for any brands of hitches on a '22 Lexus RX-350 that has a sensor where you're going to need to cut. You'll need to just do your best to figure out how it removes yourself if your comfortable with that, or I'd recommend taking the car to a mechanic to do the install as they'll be able to figure out how to move the sensor. You could try calling your local Lexus dealer to see if they can tell you how that kick sensor removes, but I've found most dealerships are very helpful in that sense now-a-days.
