Question:

I will be towing a 6foot X 10foot storage trailer a few times a year and was told I should get towing mirrors for my 2018 Ford Escape. What is the difference between $34, $88, and $100+ mirrors clip-on, manual, non-heated. They all look similar - do you have any pointers on how to choose one?

The CIPA Universal Towing Mirrors, # 7070-2 is a basic universal towing mirror that clips over your existing side-view mirrors to give you extended lines of sight. The dual strap system creates a snug fit.

The CIPA Universal Dual Lens Towing Mirrors, # 11953-2, is also a universal-fit mirror that clips onto your factory side-view mirrors but has 2 fully adjustable faces of each mirror to let you customize your view.

If towing for short periods of time a few times a year I would think either of these will meet the minimum requirements you would want. Some mirrors are not universal fit but custom fit that clamp over the existing side mirror and appear as OEM.
