Question:
I tow a 5 x 8 cargo trailer with a 2018 4runner Limited. It doesnt have much in the way of cargo weight inside. I get a lot of movement in the receiver and ball mount. It causes rocking and up and down movement and noise. Based on the vehicle receiver style and trailer being towed, what is the best item to help the situation?

The Softride # SR25219 will be a good option for getting rid of the movement you are getting in your ball mount while towing. One of the big pluses with the # SR25219 is that it will lock in place to keep anyone from walking away with it. That being said, it does have one drawback. This style of anti rattle device has to be used in a ball mount that has a hollow shank. If your shank is solid, however, I do have another option available.
The Roadmaster Quiet Hitch # RM-061 will work on any 2 inch ball mount, hollow or solid. Though this option will not be able to be locked, there isn't really any better anti rattle device that I have run across.
