Question:

Hello, I am trying to install the.ICX transmitter and that came with my Even Brake 9400 on my 2013 Equinox. The question I have is that per Roadmaster instructions I need to connect Brake Switch wire from ICX transmitter to cold.side of Brake Light switch in the 2013 Chevrolet Equinox. Roadmaster says it is usually a 2 wire switch one wire is hot, the other cold except when you engage brake pedal. On my 2013 Equinox this is not the case, the Equinox has a Standard Ignition 6 Terminal Brake Light switch. The socket is so small and wires so thin I cant even get a test light in it to determine which of the 6 wires is the cold one. Is there a work around? To connect the ICX Transmitter brake switch wire.

I suggest you use the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit - Chevrolet Equinox / GMC Terrain, # RM-751439 for installation of your Roadmaster Even Brake, # RM-9400.
