What is Purpose of Minimum Air Pressure of Air Lift Air Bag Kit

Question:
Hi, I installed these on my 2017 Tacoma 4x4 OffRoad without no problems. matter the fact the install was quicker than most posts said it would take. My issue is with running them with no load on the truck. I started with 10psi and quickly ped it to 5psi but even that makes it feel like I driving a truck with no suspension. I got to looking at other pictures online and noticed that the air bags look like they ride in the vertical position 60-75 inflated. the bags on my truck look about completely collapsed at 5 psi. I let out all the pressure and even removed the valve stems to ensure there was no residual air to see where it landed. the bags now look completely flat. Is this normal or should the bag appear somewhat inflated and vertical? should the ride with 5psi be that rough? I am afraid to see what 20-30psi with a load would feel like. Thanks

The reason the air bag kits like the part # AL59564 have a minimum pressure rating of 5 psi is that you need them to retain their shape at all times when the suspension is in use so that the bags do not fold which causes them to wear out prematurely. It is odd that 5 psi seems rough but the bags might drive around on them for a bit to see if that goes away over time.
