Is MORryde Rubber Suspension MR29DR Upgrade Over E-Z Flex Equalizers For 5th Wheel Trailer

Updated 04/02/2021 | Published 03/31/2021

Question:

2019 Chaparral 391QSMB. Two part question. We are looking at possible suspension upgrades like the Morryde SRE4000, but I am not sure how much improvement we would really see. Looking at our trailer, it looks like we already have the Dexter EZ Flex equalizers installed. Are the Morryde products significantly better / worth installing?

The E-Z Flex equalizers like the # K71-653-00 are a nice system, but for your Coachmen Chaparral 391QSMB 5th wheel trailer, the MORryde suspension system you mentioned will absolutely be an upgrade:

- MORryde AllTrek 4000 Equalizers for Tandem Axle Trailers - 35" Wheelbase # MR29DR

The MORryde kit is an improvement over the E-Z Flex due to the amount of travel. There is very little, if any, axle travel improvement with the E-Z Flex, so while its rubber core helps with road shock, it doesn't improve the ride as much as the MORryde. The reason for that is the MORryde provides up to 4 inches of axle travel. That is going to allow for the most absorption of road shock and a smoother, more comfortable ride.
