Where Is The Factory Trailer Brake Controller Port In A 2021 Ram 1500?

Question:

i have a 2021 dodge ram 1500. i pulled the trailer brake controller from my previous vehicle in hopes of simply plugging them into my new truck. however, i cannot find the plug in anywhere. thank you in advance

Sometimes the trailer brake controller port can be sort of hidden, but it should be taped to another connector located under the dash of your 2021 Ram 1500.

You may need to get a flash light and look up under the dash between the steering wheel and the radio to find it. The correct connector is a 4 prong connector which you can see at the 1:20 minute mark of the included video.

This plug will allow you to use a plug in adapter like the # 3024-P you were looking at, and will plug into a Tekonsha or Draw-Tite trailer brake controller.
