Question:

I have a 2021 ram 1500 with a 5 1/2 truck bed. I was wondering if this sliding hitch will give me enough clearance for maneuvering? The 5th wheel Im buying has a king pin like the pics below, if that helps any.

No, the Curt E16 5th Wheel Hitch w/ S20 Slider for Ram # C85PV will not give you enough clearance to maneuver the Layton Skyline 5th wheel with your 2021 Ram 1500 with a 5-1/2' bed. This unit only moves you 12" back from the hitch's center when it's in its rearmost position, which won't be enough for making tight turns at closely packed campsites or turning sharp corners.

Instead, you will want to go with the Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for Ram # DM95TV to properly tow the camper. This hitch gives you 22" of clearance from the hitch's center.
