Question:
If one brake magnet goes out, will the other 3 still work? If they don’t is there a way to bypass so I can get it the trailer to a safer place
asked by: Ricky
Expert Reply:
If one brake magnet goes out the other 3 on your trailer will still be working, you will just not have the one braking assembly working and it will need to be replaced.
As long as the pads on the assembly are in good shape you can just replace the magnet using the Replacement Trailer Brake Magnet for 12" Brake Assemblies # BP01-180 if you have 12" brakes, or # AKBRKR-M10 if you have 10" 3500lb brakes.
If you can let me know exactly which size brakes you have I would be happy to confirm the correct replacement for you.
I included videos for both of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
