Question:
ETrailer, I have few question about two products. Situation: I am building a surf enclosed trailer that will incorporate a dual charging system. One from wall outlet source and the other from solar. The wall outlet charging is for charging overnight/battery maintenance. The solar is to provide additional power for air ventilation when trailer is out in the hot sun. Questions: 1 Solar Battery Charger Item# BRW54FR. What kind of over charging protection does it offer? 2 AC to DC Battery Charger Item# 329-GENIUS5. Can a load be drawn from the battery while this charger stays connected? 3 Would there be any adverse effects having these two charges connected in parallel to a battery, with or without them charging a battery at the same time? Please let me know if you require additional information, thank you.

The Bright Way Solar Battery Charger # BRW54FR has a one way diode to prevent it from draining your battery. The electricity will flow one way and one way only. As far as over charging goes, my co-worker had this charger on his enclosed trailer ALL WINTER LONG to charge his two 6V batteries and it did not overcharge them. I don't see there being any overcharging issues at all. Your batteries will be safe with this charger.
I've used the NOCO Genius Smart Battery Charger # 329-GENIUS5 while I was doing a video in the enclosed trailer. I had the lights on while charging the battery and it worked great! I would recommend making sure the battery is charged over 75% before using larger components like an AC unit or fan.
Instead of having two chargers connected in parallel to your one battery, I would recommend getting a charger like this one # NOC64FR to mount in your enclosed trailer and use multiple batteries. You can run two batteries with that charger or you can get this one # NOC84FR and have four batteries powering your rig while be charged.
I think it would be SWEET to have a couple batteries in your trailer, a solar charger for each and a on board charger for when you do have power to hook up to. IF you're off grid and needed more power than just the solar, you can use this generator # 333-0003 and use it to connect your on board charger. This way you always have power to cool you down no matter how hot it is!
