Question:

I bought a 5th wheel jack for the front of my 5th wheel I think it was last year. Anyway it wont go up or down. You can hear a clicking noise but no movement. Is there something broke it sounds like the gear on the motor is skipping over the gear on the shaft? But I see no way of adjusting it? Thanks

It sounds like the gearbox could be bad or possibly the motor, this could be easily confirmed by removing each of the components (gearbox/motor) and testing them separately. The gear boxes are luckily pretty standardized and not terribly expensive, the Replacement Gearbox part # RVLG-RDBOX is what I recommend. The motors are a bit more but equally standardized, I recommend the Replacement Motor part # LG-142178.
