Awning Rail Extrusion for RV or Enclosed Trailer - Aluminum - 93-1. I understand the cord hole is 1/2 but was is the size of the cord hole slot?

The opening of the slot on the Awning Rail Extrusion part # 36287-955 is 1/4 inch and like you said the slot itself measures 1/2 inch.
