I plan to buy a used Thule T2 Pro XT Hitch-mount Bike Rack 1.25 Hitch I have a 2 hitch. Does this work? Thule Replacement Aluminum Shank Adapter - 1-1/4 to 2 Item # 853-7292

I have another option for you, but the Thule Replacement Aluminum Shank Adapter - 1-1/4" to 2" # 853-7292 is not confirmed to fit the Thule T2 Pro XTB Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" Hitches - Wheel Mount - Black TH9035XT that you mentioned.

Since there is not a replacement shank available for the TH9035XT the only option is to use the Hitch Reducer 2" to 1-1/4" Trailer Hitch Receiver # HT02.

If you would prefer a bike rack with a dedicated 2" shank I recommend taking a look at the Thule T2 Pro XTS Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount - Silver # TH9034XTS which is designed to work with a 2" trailer hitch receiver.
