It all just depends on what vehicle you have and also where you plan on putting the bike. For example, on a 2015 Mazda CX-9 when using the Thule T2 Classic # TH9045 if you were to place a bike on the furthest cradle you would have to lift the bike up about 33-1/2". If you would place the bike in the closest cradle to your vehicle, it would be lower than 33-1/2".
There is no ramp addition for the Thule T2 Classic. If you want a bike rack that comes with a ramp you should get the Thule EasyFold XT 2 # TH903202. This is a rack that will be easier to load since it comes with a ramp. The rack comes with wheels so it's also easier getting it to and from your hitch. Lastly, the name says it all, it's easy to use and easy to store due to its folding feature. This is a rack you could put into most trunks or closets at home with no issues.
There is a longer ramp available # TH933402 it's 53" long so it'll be less of an incline when walking your bikes up the ramp onto the rack. This will not be able to be stored in the bike rack like the shorter one so you will need to find a spot in your vehicle to put it.
