Can I Use Thule HideAway Mounting Brackets With Other Awnings?

Hi there, I have an ARB awning 2500 and am looking to find the best mounting options. Im aware that this rack adapter is for a thule awning but I really like the locking aspect. Im looking to attach it to my subaru factory roof cross bars, but before purchasing I was wondering if you could send me the measurements for the distance between the bolts that are meant to slide into the awning channel? Id like to see if this rack mount could work for my ARB awning. Thanks!

The Roof Rack Adapters for Thule HideAway Awnings # TH490001 are not designed to be used with other awnings other than Thule HideAway Awning # TH490010 or # TH490008. This is because the mounting brackets are designed to fit into sliding channels built into the awning itself. These channels are spaced 2-3/8" apart on center and use Thule T-bolts # 853-5715 which have an M8 stud.
Thule refers to their mounting channel system as "exclusively designed" so it is unlikely that other awning systems have channels with the same dimensions. The next best option is to wrap a cable lock like part # e98891 around your awning to secure it.
