What is the construction/mounting difference between a class 3 and class 4 tow hitch for a 2004 chev silverado trk Thx

Class III hitches that fit your 2004 Chevy Silverado like the # e98849 just aren't made for the same towing capacities as the Class IV hitches like # C14332. You'll notice that the Class IV mentioned here has more bolts that attach it to the truck frame as the most obvious difference. Other than that it's more or less the thickness of the metal used etc.
