Very happy with this hitch receiver. Everything bolted into place easily and I still have room for my full-size spare. The receiver seems very well built and the team that shipped my receiver to me did a great job getting my order processed and shipped to me quickly.

The install looks great Shane! Are you using this for a bike rack or to tow?

@HeatherA I'll be using it to tow a trailer.

Fit fine, but I did have to drop the spare tire. Not sure that it would fit with a full size spare.

I'm betting you won't post this but here you are: HITCH receiver arrived badly bent due to bad packing, and am unable to install. etrailer is unwilling to replace in time to meet my needs. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!

I was very happy with the part that came in and the time was fast.

Well since a year has no problems at all. But during the install , when the hitch was delivered the box was torn and trying to install the hitch one side was slightly bent. No big deal by using a pry bar and some muscle it worked - again I like the hitch and I've purchased other products from etrailer and will do again thank you

I purchased this for my husband for a Christmas gift. I love the price and that it is a brand name. I also love the fast shipping. I managed to get it delivered to me when he was out of town. Would buy stuff this company again.

Working out great.I can sent you pictures, showing the process, how I put it on.I used a 2by6 board, and floor jack, and put it on by myself so easy.

by:
2006 Chevrolet Silverado

I had to make adjustments in order to make the trailer hitch fit up. Not a big deal but I had to use a C-clamp to get the two wings aligned for bolt insertion. It was also necessary to use a burr bit to enlarge the two front holes at the hitch point and also one of the holes at the corner. ( one had to be elongated by 3/16" and the other two by 1/8"). I wasn't expecting to have to do this at all.
The quality of the assembly welding and paint was very good but the dimensional problem not.

by:

FIT PERFECTLY, INSTALLED BY MYSELF IN ABOUT 45 MINUTES. USING CHEAP HAND TOOLS
SUPER SIMPLE,LINE X TRUCK WANTED 399 INSTALLLED FOR SAME HITCH. AFTER A YEAR NO PROBLEMS

by:
2006 Chevrolet Silverado

This hitch fit very well without any hole drilling as advised by product description. I did have to ream out the two cone washers, to fit the existing bumper bolts. Another guy also commented on the cone washers, so this was a heads up for me! Also, those factory bumper bolts on my 2006 chevy 1500 silverado, require a 21 mm socket , which you will need for these two bolts only. Happy so far with this product.

Worst part about installing this hitch was removing my old one first. The parts fit great and installed it myself fairly quickly. Fits just a little higher then the OEM hitch, but nothing that causes a problem. Looks great too

by:
2003 GMC Sierra

my only problem was it didnt fit quite right , i had to lay on my back and spread it apart with my legs while my son ran the bolts in , and the r/side bolt by hitch tube was a half hole off and could get a bolt in it so now it will have to be welded to the frame where the bolt is missing, so other than it not fitting right it seems sturdy

by:

this is the second curt hitch i have installed and installation time is less than 1/2 hr and neither required any alterations will highly recommend. truck will be used to tow small horse trailer.

by:

Every bit as good as advertised! Installation was a breeze and took about 30 minutes alone. The only problem I ran into was the cone washers not fitting over the bolts, but I found some in my stash that would fit. I also painted ther bumper mount bolts black because old people are fussy about looks! Great hitch and I'm very happy with it so far.

by:

the receiver hitch did not fit like they show you in the video. The holes did not all line up and I ended up drilling two holes a little bigger to make it fit but once I did that and we got it in place and the bolts all tightened down it looks great. The video said it should take approximately 40 minutes, it took another person and I 3 hours monkeying with it before we got it in place.

Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Hitch fit great with no issues installing. If you are looking for a hitch for your 99-06 Silverado/Sierra 1500 that tucks up and behind the bumper, this is it.

Hitch came well secured to shipping box. This is my 2nd order from Etrailer with no issues.

by:
2000 GMC Sierra

The shipping was fast and the hitch seems really solid. I had an issue installing it since one of the holes on the hitch did not line up with the holes in the frame of the truck. Fortunately, it was not one of the threaded holes. Therefore, I was able to enlarge the hole on the truck frame. I also don't understand the point of the plates. I assume that they are to stop the bolt from spinning, but they did not hit anything on my frame and so they just spun. Since these bolts did not have a hex head, I had to use the old bolts. Fortunately, they were still in decent shape. Overall, I am happy with the hitch.

You are correct about the spacers, Brent. They are there to prevent the bolt from spinning. I'm sorry to hear that they didn't do their job very well. Where you able to get all the bolts torqued down properly? I just want to make sure that they are safely secured to your hitch.

by:

Great hitch. Tucks up nice just under the bumper. Extremely well made, nice powder coating. It will look better than my truck once mounted! I've ordered lots from etrailer.com. I can't say enough about them. Great team of folks that know everything. Product videos, technical support, great prices. Holy Toledo, they have it all. Thanks folks, keep it up......

  • Do you carry Curt Class 3 Hitches for my 2001 GMC Sierra 1500
We carry both of the Curt Hitches for your 2001 GMC Sierra the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 13332 which is square tube and the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 13322 which is the round tube. Of the two I like the square because like you said it is a little more concealed. The installation process will be the same on both of the hitches. The instruction are linked for you to check out. As well as a video my buddy Shane did on a 1999 Silverado which will be identical.

  • Does Curt Hitch # 13332 Fit 2000 Chevy Silverado
The Curt hitch part # 13332 was designed to specifically fit your 2000 Chevy Silverado so the great news you do not need to measure anything on your truck to know it will fit. I attached a link to an install video for the hitch on a 1999 Silverado (same body style as yours) which shows how it bolts right up very easily for you to check out as well.

  • Is Class 3 or Class 4 Hitch Needed For 2003 Chevy Silverado 1500 For Towing
So long as you are within the capacities of your 2003 Chevy Silverado 1500 and the hitch itself, there's no need to pay extra for a hitch that has capacity you won't be using. Unless you will be towing something that is more than 6,000 lbs, or has more than 600 lbs of tongue weight, you won't need the Class IV Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C14332. That hitch has a 10,000 lb towing and 1,000 lb tongue weight capacity, but based on the vehicle you mentioned and the size of the trailer, seems...

When CURT Trailer Hitch, # 13332, is installed on a 2006 Chevy Silverado, the square tubing will be behind the spare tire (towards the rear of the vehicle). It will fit much like the round tube # 13322 except that more of the cross tubing will be visible, because it goes straight across the back of the vehicle rather than curving around the spare tire. There is no drilling or trimming required for installation of this hitch. I have linked a video showing an example installation for you. For a 2500 or 3500 series short bed I recommend B&W hitch # BWHDRH25601. Again there is no drilling or trimming required. The version for long bed models is # BWHDRH25600 and there is...

This hitch fits vehicles with 42" wide frames measured outside to outside like yours. • Comparing Curt Trailer Hitches 13322 and 13332 For 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500
That's a really good question, and there are a couple of differences between the two Curt hitches that fit your 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500, the round tube Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13322 and the square tube Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13332. The first difference is that the square tube hitch is going to be more concealed, as the tube is straight and going to be hidden behind the bumper more, while the round tube will stick out and the tube will be far more noticeable under your truck....

The Curt Class IIII Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13332 referenced in your question is confirmed to fit your 2004 Chevy Silverado 1500. You can take this measurement down from where the hitch will attach on your Silverado to see exactly how far the receiver will drop below the truck. This custom-fit...
