Question:
Ill be purchasing a Trailer Hitch Receiver soon for my 2020 Ford Edge and Im down to looking at 2, a Curt Brand and a Draw-Tite Brand. I have a Yakimaw Bike Rack and thats it, I wont be towing anything. I really like the Concealed Versions and Im looking at the 75234 Draw-Tite Class 3 Trailer Hitch Receiver - Max-Frame 87696 Hidden Hitch Class 3 Trailer Hitch Receiver Item # 75234 and the Curt 13452 Curt Class 3 Trailer Hitch Receiver Item # C78KR. I have a couple questions please. What makes the Curt Brand almost $100 more than the Draw-Tite Brand? For some reason Im leaning toward the Curt Brand, probably cause its higher in price so therefore its gotta be a better product, Lol...I really dont have a reason and last of all Why is the Curt Receiver Out of Stock so much?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The price differential between the Draw-Tite # 75234 and the Curt # C78KR is basically a function of supply and demand and the current market price. The Curt hitch is a US made product, and has a higher demand right now which would explain why they're hard to keep in stock.
As far as appearance, capacity, installation difficulty and quality goes, I'd place both hitches on the same level. Both hitches are well-constructed by companies that have a great reputation in the towing industry. Either hitch would work great for carrying a bike rack.
In this instance, you could certainly choose the less-expensive Draw-Tite # 75234 without feeling like you sacrificed a thing.
I've linked to an installation video which shows my buddy Rob installing the Draw-Tite hitch on a 2019 Ford Edge. The procedure would be identical for your 2020 model.
