Question:
Hello, Hope all is well with you today. About the road master #rm676 nighthawk all terrain tow bar and the use of part # rm-035-1 with it . Just want to be clear, are these two are compatible yes? we have a 2018 wrangler unlimited jk with the d rings on a after market bumper rated for 10k. If down the road we wanted to tow our 2019 f150 we could put the original connecters back on hitch and use it for this vehicle? Both are well in the weight cap. of the tow bar .

Expert Reply:
The Roadmaster # RM-035-1 D-ring adapters are indeed compatible with a Roadmaster Nighthawk tow bar. However, because you aren't using traditional base plates, you might have difficulty finding a good spot to attach the safety cables. In this situation, Roadmaster recommends using extensions like # RM-910648-20. You'd want to wrap the extension around the frame members just behind the bumper then attach to the safety cables.
If you decide to use the tow bar for a different vehicle, you can always put the original ends back on the tow bar, in stead of the # RM-035-1 adapter.
I've linked to a product demonstration video for the # RM-035-1 D-ring tow bar adapters.
