How To Convert 2015 Toyota Tacoma with Backup Camera to Power Locking Tailgate

Question:

I have Tacoma 2015 with no tailgate lock. It has camera. Can I install the power lock kit without installing the handle with key lock. Meaning, can the power lock kit without the handle and key will work with existing handle. Kindly advise. Thanks

The Pop and Lock Custom Tailgate Lock, Power # PAL8521 will work with your 2015 Toyota Tacoma with the backup camera. This kit includes only the internal components needed to convert your tailgate into a power-only locking tailgate. You will not need to swap out the tailgate handle with this kit.
