Can a 2" Weight Distribution Shank Be Swapped Out for a 2-1/2" Shank

Question:
I’m moving from a F150 to an F250 and I think I need to swap out he shank from my old system. Question is the old shank is a 2” receiver setup and my new truck has a 2 1/2” receiver. Can I go to a larger shank on my older version of this weight distribution hitch or should I stay 2” and just use the reducer on the truck?

Yes, you can swap out a 2" weight distribution shank for a 2-1/2" weight distribution shank. This will actually be the preferred method instead of using a sleeve adapter as there will be much less movement inside the receiver tube. I recommend the Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank part # EQ90-02-4800 but have attached a full list of options below.
Please note, weight distribution shank are universal and not brand specific.
