Hi, I'm trying to raise a cargo carrier to gain ground clearance. This needs to stick out 3.5 inches to clear the front bumper, will this work or can you recommend one that will? Thanks!!

Expert Reply:
The Curt High-Low Adapter # C59KR should work for giving you ground clearance for your cargo carrier. The measurement from the shank hitch pin hole to the back end of the top receiver is 5-1/2", which should be enough clearance for your bumper. Refer to the diagram attached below and measure your hitch setup to make sure.
Note this adapter does not come with a hitch pin and clip. If you need one, I recommend the Curt # C21510.
