Jeff: Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at this Curt class three, class four and class five hitch pin and clip, that fits two inch and two and a half inch hitch receivers. This hitch pin is what will secure your hitch mounted accessory in your trailer hitch receiver. The pin itself has a nice heat treated steel. It's very strong and durable, has a nice sink finish on it to resist corrosion, and if you notice on the clip and on the pin, it does have plastic grips on the ends right here, and those plastic grips make it easy to install and remove.
Same way on the clip, push it in and pull it out to remove it.A few specs on this. Again, it is designed to fit two inch by two inch and two and a half inch by two and a half inch trailer hitch receivers. The pin diameter is five eighths of an inch. Overall length, if we measure from this end to this end, on the pin itself is going to be right at five and one quarter inches. And the usable length would be once we install the clip and that's from inside the clip to the spot right there where it starts to bend is going to be right at three and one eighths inches for usable length, but that should do it for the review on this Curt class three, class four and class five hitch pin and clip for the two inch and two and a half inch hitch receivers..

Zinc finish resists corrosion.I use this Curt hitch pin and clip when I'm using the receiver plug-even though I COULD use it with my hitch. Being an expensive hitch, I like RH5-XL when it's on my truck. The Curt is better than plain hitch pins because of the rubber on both the pin and the clip, which gives a better grip when it's cold or wet. Etrailer, as usual, got it to me fast, and the price was right. Also, I like that the clip goes through the pin instead of into a slot, making it somewhat harder for the clip to fall out or spread the legs of the clip over time-at least I think so.
We're thoroughly pleased with both Paula and our order (a tow hitch cover). The cover looks exactly the way it looks on the website!
Easiest install ever. Less than 30 minutes. Did not have to remove spare tire. Perfect fit. Good build quality.
You guys think of everything although these items were not needed as I had locking pins available for hooking up the tow system. Might want to ask customer before adding items.

They should have asked whether you needed that pin or not. I am sorry that this step was missed. We can always set up a return label for you to return it. Let me get you over to customer service and they can discuss with you the best option.
Great pin!
The low profile was the best choice, especially on the Sienna. It was a bit of work since I had to remove the bumper cover and the zillion plastic clips and screws but definitely worth the extra work.
I purchased a trailer hitch, ball mount, pin, and wiring set for my 2006 Toyota Tacoma. They were delivered promptly and in good order. With the help of the online videos, as well as the informative written directions, I completed the installation of all items in less than an afternoon and everything fit and operated as advertised. I am very pleased with the products and the excellent service. Needless to say, I highly recommend etrailer.com.

The hitch and pin, along with the turn signals and brake lights continue to work consistently and dependably without any problems at all. Thanks again for the excellent products and service.
Thank you for such prompt service. I put this on my Polaris 570 mid size Ranger. The problem was a normal hitch was under the bed and a 2 inch rise was a bit too low for a level trailer. This fixed the problem moving the ball out further and higher. Much easier to hook up. I would recommend your company to others.
I was so excited with the ordering and videos showing details as well as the fast delivery from your firm. However, as of 5:00 today, I did not receive the hitch receiver (main part) and got an email satiating that it will be here on Friday. This puts me in an extremely disadvantage for my move because my installation appointment is on Friday and I make my move this Sunday. Now I am not sure what even to do at this point as the very main part won't be here until the day of my installation!!!!
They are holding up well after 1 year. Seriously what can I say about a pin and clip? They have not broken, they fit, and they do they job I want them to do.
Works great!

After a year, its still working great! A little rusty but the roads get salted around here so its holding up great considering.
Good for normal trailer hook up and towing, but when trailer hitch is not used and a trailer hitch insert is used a key locking clip and pin should be used to avoid any one stealing the insert you have inserted to replace the actual towing bracket. People have told me they had to learn the hard way on getting their College emblem stolen because they used the normal pin.

If you need a locking pin I recommend part # 7683. Please keep in mind this lock will not work with double-walled hitches or some factory 2 inch trailer hitches that have an outside width wider than 2 5/8. If a longer pin length is needed, see hitch lock part # RH5-XL.
I'm very pleased with my purchase of the Curt trailer hitch. Self installation went fairly smooth. I'm getting a lot of use out of my hitch with my bike rack. The instructions were pretty straight forward, plus some YouTube videos helped. I would definitely recommend the Curt hitch.
It's a hitch pin. It does what hitch pins do. No complaints.

Still working good after a year. Shed a little of the rubber on the hamdle but no biggie.
This was the perfect length for my use. The only other thing I would consider is an anti-rattle pin but I don't haul enough to make it worth the hassle.
Great product that I have used before!
It does the job - I've had no problems with it. I had it installed along with the hitch at my local garage.
The hitch pin arrived quickly and in good condition. A great product at a great price. Etrailer.com is an excellent company to deal with.

There are hitch pins that will have a longer usuable length like part # 337HP6256WC which has a 4-inch span.
I bought the trailer hitch lower kit, works very good and is solid. Bought the locking pin , easy to use and has held up in great condition. Last, I bought the load stabilizer, simple product but effective, thanks guys for being helpful and having great products
Although we haven't put the piece on, there are a few reasons why I'm very pleased with the service provided. From the video tutorial, amazing and helpful! The fact that you mentioned the name of the parts needed and included the item# (which was helpful when it came to looking for the piece. Your website is very user-friendly. The arrival of our package was very-well wrapped and I will post my review (or add to my review), once we unbox and put the piece on, which again, the video is helpful again! Thank you very much!
Installation is easily done in 30 minutes in the driveway. Some maneuvering is needed to get the Curt receiver past the factory receiver mounting brackets. There is a clearance issue between the Curt receiver and a factory crossmember on both sides which can be remedied by adding a 3/4" grade 8 washer between the receiver and the frame on each side. It is easiest to torque down the four vertical bolts before installing the two horizontal ones as they interfere with getting a socket on the two rear vertical bolts. Curt did a good job eliminating all failure points (bolts) on the receiver hitch itself and the welds are solid. Overall the Curt receiver is overkill in a good way and it would be hard for even a good fabricator to design one that is stronger. Included are pictures of how it looks on a relatively tall factory height 2009 Dodge 3500 DRW with a 6" Fastway drop and 1220 pounds of tongue weight.
Ordered this with a trailer hitch. It is a solid product and I'm very happy with it.

still a solid product.
etrailer didn’t have this in stock when I ordered. I authorized them to swap it for a non-rubberized version. No issues with it at all.

Still working like a champ. No rust, a little wear on the pin, but it still works like day 1.
