Question:

Can I use the BowDown carrier with the LoadWarrior basket? Im specifically thinking about skipping the LoadBar part: 8870042 and using the front and rear crossbars 1-inch diameter bars on the LoadWarrior to attach two sets of BowDowns and carry two kayaks that way. Few things Im worried about: 1. Will the LoadWarrior internal width be sufficient to have two BowDowns attached to it? 2. Can I remove the fairing on the fairing on the LoadWarrior to have the two parallel bars to attach the BowDowns? 3. Will the BowDown clear the bump on the sides of the LoadWarrior crossbars i.e. sidebars are ~1 inch taller than crossbars? Thanks!

You can use the Yakima LoadWarrior Roof Rack Cargo Basket - 44" Long x 39" Wide # Y07070 or 62" Long x 39" Wide # Y07070-74 with a Yakima kayak carrier for two kayaks, but the BowDown is too wide/long for two of them to fit the LoadWarrior. So in order to carry two kayaks with the LoadWarrior what you will need is a kayak carrier capable of holding two kayaks, which is the following:

- Yakima JayLow Kayak Carrier # Y04073

You will use the JayLow in the post-style configuration with this set up, and since the JayLow comes with tie-downs for one kayak you will also need to add the Yakima Bow/Stern Tie-Down Ropes # Y04031.
