Chain Extension for Weight Distribution Hitch

Question:
I installed a WD Hitch on my truck for our travel trailer. The length of the new hitch is about 6inch longer than the standard hitch was using and now the safety chains are about 6inch too short. Is it safe to use two of these for each chain to make up the 6inch I need?

Yes the Curt Threaded Quick Link # C82932 will work to extend your safety chains to reach the loops on your hitch as long as they links are big enough to fit around your chains and the loops. When opened, the Quick Link has a gap that measures 5/8" and an inside length of 3-5/16".
