The Curt Spectrum Trailer Brake Controller part # C51170 is compatible with electric-over-hydraulic trailer brakes, there is no setting that needs to be applied for this to work. It will automatically sense the type of brakes used and make the necessary adjustments needed to ensure compatibility.
