Compatibility of Thule Roof Rack and SUP Carrier for 2020 Lexus RX 350

I have a 2020 RX350 with panoramic roof. Lexus does not sell or recommend a roof rack for this car, but OF COURSE, I want/need one. I do not want to drill into the existing factory installed roof rails. You sell TH186044 as a possible way to mount a Thule rack on this car. The existing rails have a groove on the outside of the rail, but are completely smooth in the inner side of the rail no groove. Will Th186044 clamp securely on the smooth inner side of the roof rail or is this part too angled to grip the smooth side of the rail? The outside of the rail with the groove will be no problem. I will putting two 12 foot SUP boards on this rack weighing approximately 60 pounds total and driving 30 minutes at 50 MPH.

For your 2020 Lexus RX 350 with panoramic roof, it sounds like you are referring to the flush mounted side rails. The Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars - Aluminum - Black - 47" Long - Qty 2 # TH711220, Evo Flush Rail Feet # TH710601, and Fit Kit for Thule Evo Flush Roof Rack Feet # TH186044 create a great roof rack for your vehicle. The fit kit clamps around the smooth rails that do not have an attachment option underneath because they are not raised off the roof. I've attached a photo to show this style rail. The smooth inside and grooved outside are why there is a custom fit kit. It will allow you to travel at normal speeds with your SUP boards mounted. Highway speeds for extended periods of time will not be an issue so the lower speeds for short times will not be an issue. I do recommend using the Thule locks # TH450400 to secure your rack.
I do recommend using a carrier like the Thule SUP Taxi XT Stand-Up Paddleboard Carrier - Roof Mount - 2 Boards # TH810001 to secure your boards to the roof rack.
