Question:
Do you need a receiver for the brake buddy classic digital to OPERATE? Is the receiver just to monitor braking action in the towed vehicle? Do the transmitter and receiver need to be MATCHED? Thanks

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Replacement Alert System for Brake Buddy Digital Classic, Classic II, and Classic 3 Braking Systems # BB28MR is simply to alert you of when the system is applying your brakes and monitoring the battery charge. It is not required for use of the system but it will assist in ensuring the system is working properly. The transmitter and receiver do need to be compatible with each other if that is what you mean by "matched".
