For a 4-pole round trailer connector and socket, I would recommend looking at the Pollack Heavy-Duty 4-Pole Round Trailer Connector, # PK11409, and the Pollack Heavy-Duty 4-Pole Round Trailer Socket, # PK11410.
The connector and socket have a chrome-plated finish for corrosion resistance. I have attached a photo showing the typical wiring set up for 4-pole round trailer connectors. This should help when you are wiring the connectors to your trailer and vehicle.

The trailer connector illustrated the lower one is not the typical Pollack heavy duty trailer end connector. The Pollack connector has the two lower pin holes just the opposite. Looking at the connector the same way, on the Pollack, the Ground ring would be on the right. Also it is a different color. More light colored metal and slightly thicker wall thickness. The other pin holes are brass colored. Electrically they are connected just opposite what is illustrated here. The top two holes are wired the same as shown.
