Wiring and Installation of the Peterson Red Rectangular, Two Bulb, Trailer Clearance Light

Question:
this is a one-wire fixture. is this wire the hot with ground thru the mounting screws? Or does the 2nd wire clip onto the other end of the internal bar?

The light, part # 425800, mounts on standard 3 inch centers. The light contains a single lead wire for power and is grounded through the mounting hardware.
