Replacement Vent Cover for Ventline VBO568 Dome Lid with Side Slider
Updated 09/08/2020 | Published 09/03/2020 >
Question:
I cannot find a replacement for the subject part. The fan unit works fine and dont want to replace it if I dont have to. The subject dome lid I have has a continuous metal hinge and has the slide off center on the side. All replacements I see have the slide in the center. Are you aware of any of your customers successfully modifying the center slide replacements by moving the slide to the side on these replacements?

I may have a solution for you, but we don't have any roof vent covers that have the side slide that you're looking for and I can't say that I've seen anyone successfully modify these since the arms are riveted into the plastic.
With that said, you could use the Camco Aero-Flo RV Roof Vent Cover w/ Swing Open Lid - White # CAM40421, which basically acts like 2nd cover and would allow your roof vent to remain open while still preventing rain from getting in. This solution would allow you to keep your existing vent and not need to replace it if you can't find an acceptable replacement vent cover.
I've linked a review video on this part for you to have a look at.
