The brake controller port will be underneath the dash, on the left of the steering column, above the emergency brake on your 2011 Honda Pilot with the factory tow package. This is where you will plug in the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers - Honda # 3070-P.
This wiring adapter allows a plug-and-play installation, and for a brake controller I recommend one of two options:
- Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195
- Brake EVN # TK63VR
The P3 is the best controller because of its display, storable settings, and continuous diagnostic checks. However, it is also the premium option so if you only have one trailer and tow occasionally, the Brake Evn # TK63VR will be a wonderful, more budget-friendly alternative.
