Can Trailer Mount of Trailer Valet be Bolted to Side of Trailer

Can this be mounted on a trailer tongue by drilling holes in the frame to mount? When mounted with the included hardware the mount is too high with the valet removed. The front door of my snowmobile trailer will not extend all the way without hitting it. By drilling holes I can lower it until it is flush with the top of the frame. Is this recommended. Thanks

If you wanted to drill the frame of your trailer and then use those holes to mount the plate part # TV-0002 when installing the part # STC-V211 you certainly could.

The inner diameter of the replacement mounting bracket for Trailer Valet part #TV-0002 is 2-1/2 inch. The pin diameter is 5/8 inch.
