Question:
2015 Honda Civic sedan Looking to install trailer hitch for the main purpose of towing a jet ski. Single jet ski weighting approx. 600lbs. Towing weight and tongue weight dont seem to be an issue. Stuck between two models. The Curt Class and the EcoHitch. Quite a difference in price. After watching the video on your site the EcoHitch appears to be the best bet. But for half the price would the Curt Class work? Thank you!

Yes, the Curt # C11391 would work, but there are some other factors that really make the EcoHitch a much better option.
First, considering you've got a 2015 Honda Civic, ground clearance is going to be an issue since both the cross tube and receiver will sit below the bumper, making it much more prone to bottoming out. Because the EcoHitch # 306-X7235 has a concealed cross tube that mounts behind the bumper, it's going to give you some extra ground clearance that's going to be extremely valuable when going over speed bumps or in and out of driveways with large lips. If bottoming out the hitch is something you don't expect to be a huge issue, then you can absolutely get by with using the Curt hitch. I'll also add that the concealed cross tube is a great option if you're not wanting the hitch to be completely visible, as it will only show the hitch receiver and not the cross tube. Additionally, the EcoHitch # 306-X7235 has a 2" receiver which is not only better for towing, it gives you a much better variety of bike racks or hitch mounted cargo boxes to choose from if you ever need to use it for something other than towing your jetski trailer. For me, it's definitely worth paying the extra money to have the additional functionality and less chance that I'm going to damage it in the long run.
Since you'll be towing, you may need some additional parts like a wiring harness, ball mount and hitch ball. For the wiring harness, you can use the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56011 which will provide you with a 4way flat trailer harness to power the trailer lights. For the ball mount, you can use the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900 which comes with 2 ball mounts to cover varying rise/drop situations, 2 hitch balls (1-7/8" and 2"), hitch pin, clip and carrying bag. This ball mount kit would would only work on the Eco-Hitch with a 2" receiver.
I've linked some installation videos as well as an article on how to measure for the correct rise/drop ball mount you'll need to tow your trailer level that I recommend checking out to confirm that kit will work for you. If you need something a bit more drastic, I've also linked our entire selection of 2" ball mounts for you to choose from.
