Question:
Does the base plate also fit the 2013 Honda Fit?

Expert Reply:
Yes, the Demco kit # DM9519236 does fit on your 2013 Honda Fit.
The Demco Commander Tow Bar # DM9511012 is compatible with the base plates. In addition to the tow bar, you will need lighting, and supplemental braking.
For lighting, you can use the bulb and socket kit, # RM-152-LED with the connector adapter # DM9523004. The good thing about this kit is that you will not have to cut and splice into the vehicle wiring. You also need to pull a fuse in the Fit. Use the FuseMaster buypass to make this easier, # RM76511.
Most states now require a supplemental braking system on the vehicle being towed. One of the easiest solutions is the Delta Force # SM99242. This is a proportional system that applies the vehicle brakes in proportion to how much the tow vehicle is braking. Proportional systems are the safest way to stop and they reduce wear and tear on both vehicles.
I have included a link that provides several articles on flat-towing vehicles.
Finally, please remember to consult your Honda Fit vehicle owners guide for further instructions on how to properly tow your vehicle.
