Wondering about the substantial price difference between these two products. Is the F2591 that much better? I realize it comes with a tank and a hose but $$$ is a significant difference and the AL25980 comes with its own mounting plates at no additional cost. I could really use some help understanding this. Thank You

When comparing the Firestone Air Command II Compressor System w F3 Wireless Remote, Heavy Duty Compressor, Tank, Hose - Dual Path # F2591 to the Air Lift WirelessONE Compressor System for Air Helper Springs - Remote - Bluetooth - Single Path # AL25980 there are some significant differences.
Both are wireless systems that help you adjust your air pressure but that is where the similarities end. Your needs will either justify the cost difference in one direction or the other but you need to know the differences to compare. The Firestone system is a dual path system meaning you can adjust each air spring individually for an off centered load if you have just the rear suspension or you can adjust two sets front to back. It has the air tank allowing for the higher 150 psi air pressure compared to the 100 psi of the Air Lift. It has double the duty cycle allowing you to more quickly adjust your springs, and the tank allows you to use an air hose to help with other needs like filling your tires.
Most trucks will be fine with the Air Lift option, but if you are doing heavy duty towing or want the extra accessibility options, the Firestone kit is a significant upgrade with the more powerful compressor, faster inflation, tank with hose, and dual output option. You are correct that the Firestone system also needs mounting kits # F2588 and # F2496 but they don't require drilling like the Air Lift bracket does.
