Question:

I recently bought the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2inch Item# e93KR. I purchased a Thule VeloSpace XT3 bike rack German version and need help with finding the right ball mount. The 2inch ball mount does not work. Will the Weigh Safe 180° Hitch 1-7/8” / 2inch Item# WS54FR ball work? Thank you for your assistance.

I have a solution but the Weigh Safe 180 Hitch 2-Ball Mount # WS54FR will not work with this because most European Bike Racks require a 50mm ball to attach to. The two included balls with Weigh Safe ball mount are not the correct size. Also, this ball mount is no longer available.

You will need a 50mm Hitch Ball # # EH53C-C and a ball mount with a 1" mounting hole like the Curt Ball Mount for 2" Hitches # C45030. This will allow you to mount your euro-style Thule VeloSpace XT3 Bike Rack to your etrailer Trailer Hitch # e93KR on your 2020 BMW X1. You will also need a pin and clip like # PC3.

The ball will need to be installed on the ball mount so please follow the recommended Torque settings in the directions.
