Question:
Hi: I need replacement bolts for my class 3 hitch on my 1997 Ford F250 HD 1996 body style. The fastener kit 01685 looks like what I need except the picture shows carriage bolts with square shanks, but round hole washers? How can you tighten without a square hole washer?

Expert Reply:
The Fastener Kit # 01685 that you referenced is a supplement to the installation hardware included with the Draw-Tite Max-E-Loader Trailer Hitch Receiver # 41504, or the Reese 37081 or 44143 hitches. This fastener kit is more or less spacers and you will use the blocks with the square middle hole that came with the hitch.
To get replacement hardware for the Draw-Tite hitch 41504 you can use the part # RHK, and then also use the fastener kit that you reference.
If you have a different hitch you can still use the part # RHK, you'll just need to select the correct manufacturer and insert the part number for your hitch.
