The top of the lid of the UWS # UWS07642 truck bed toolbox will sit 2-3/4 inches above the top of the bed side.
To find where the bottom of the box will sit, measure from the top of the bedside down by 11-1/2 inches, that is exactly the height that the bottom of the box will sit at. I've linked you to a product description video for the # UWS07642 truck bed toolbox.
