Does the Macerating Seaflo Fresh Water Electric RV Toilet Fit a Standard Toilet Flange?

Question:

I currently have a Aqua-Magic Style II RV Toilet / High Profile installed in my 2022 forest river sabre fifth when front bathroom and I am looking at replacing it with one of these. I havent measured the rough in yet but Im pretty sure I have enough clearance. I have three questions. My first question is are the anchor bolts for RV toilets, including this one, a standard width apart like a home residential toilet? Or will I have to fill the existing holes and drill new ones for this toilet? My second question is I assume that the downpipe to the black tank is a standard size? Does this toilet come with the hardware to connect to that directly? My third question is that if I understand correctly my DC circuitry is 12V so I would have to order the 12 V model, correct? If so, is the wiring in the box able to handle the 25Amp fuse and circuit? Thank you

Hey Brian. The Seaflo Fresh Water Electric RV Toilet item # SE95CR does not use a standard 3" or 4" RV toilet flange and you will need to purchase new hardware and additional fittings. The 18-3/4" tall x 14" wide x 17-1/4" deep toilet simply bolts to the floor using the mounting holes in the base without using a wax or foam ring. You’ll pre-drill four pilot holes and secure it with stainless screws or bolts for stability.

The SeaFlo item # SE95CR toilet grinds the waste and pumps it out through a 1-1/2" discharge hose. So the toilet doesn’t seal to the flange at all. Instead, you will seal off the existing flange opening to prevent tank odors from coming up. You'll then run the included discharge hose directly to a 1-1/2" inlet fitting you'll have to add to your black tank. The connector on the toilet side is included for the drain hose.

You will indeed be able to power the SeaFlo item # SE95CR off of your 25Amp fuse and circuit. This is the correct model for the 12v setup in your Forest River Sabre.

Thanks for the answers Jarred, that helps. I was really hoping there was some kind of adapter that connected to the existing flange and downpipe to the black tank. Not keen on trying to seal that off, drilling a new hole and running another downpipe to the black tank. I'm looking at this because my current toilet has a small leak near the lever and if I have to do the work of taking it off to repair it I might as well look at upgrade options. This toilet specifically because one of the properties we stay at is 60 feet away from the sewer drain pipe. I have to use a 1 inch hose and macerator pump to dump the tank. While this works, if the toilet did the maceration to begin with it would go a lot easier and faster. The test of the installation for this sounds pretty straightforward but I really didn't want to mess with the black tank plumbing

@Brian You're welcome! Yeah, I wish there was too. That's quite a bit of modification to swap out a toilet. We've had a few reviews come in saying it's an easier and quicker job than they expected. I get the aversion to not wanting to modify your black tank though. I definitely see how upgrading to the SeaFlow item # SE95CR would make dumping your tank a lot easier. If you're moving away from this upgrade, the Replacement Water Valve item # TH78SA is what you'll need to stop that leak. If you have any additional questions, don't hesitate to reach out.

I put one in my a class motorhome, there some work you will have to do but its not hard. You will need some other parts . The main part that i used was a OGO Origin Tank Flange Adapter https://share.google/qtO3d70N3oMEBkew8 and I put a support ring over it. It will take some modifications. I am a contractor so a the work was easy. But I believe anyone can do it. It was a great up grand to our camper. Hope that help have pic's if you want. Frank
