What is the Difference in the MORryde Hand Rail?

Updated 10/27/2025 | Published 06/30/2025

Question:

You have at least 3 of these Morryde hand rails on your website, each with a different product number. Whats the difference and how do I know which one is right for my trailer? Thanks...

Hey Richard. The difference in the three MORryde hand rails is how far they extend away from the side of your trailer and how long the railing goes down the stairs.

The MORryde item # MR34RV extends out 16" from the mounting point and has a 36" long hand rail.

The MORryde item # MR54RV extends out 34" from the mounting point and has a 48" long hand rail.

The MORryde item # MR54BR extends out 42-1/2" from the mounting point and has a 54" long hand rail.

What kind of trailer do you have and how far out does your bottom stair extend from the side of it?

Hey Richard, did you find the right hand rail for your trailer? I'm curious to know how it worked out for you, as it might help others in a similar situation!

I have a 2007 Georgetown 373XL, Clase A Motorhome. There are three steps that extend 24" from the side of the coach. I'd like to install one of the telescoping hand rails but I am not sure which model would be best for my application.

@Gary Thanks for the information! While we don't have a custom rail for your steps, the MORryde Short Safe-T-Rail Telescoping RV Hand Rail item # MR54RV is going to work great with them. The rail is going to be 48" long and the bottom part of it will extend 34" out from your RV wall. When it's folded up it's going to measure 2" long x 5-5/8" wide x 31" tall. I attached a demo video so you can see this rail in action.
