Why Does Yakima BackSwing Appear Damaged

Question:
Hey I just got this thing in and its dented. Doesntfoot seem to matter but I dointfoot want my new stuff to have a dent already!

I wouldn't be very happy if I just go a new damaged Yakima BackSwing, part # Y02483, either. The good news is that yours actually isn't. The BackSwing has an intentional bend in it that looks like a dent. Yakima designed it that way on purpose because it positions the BackSwing so that it gains and additional 2 degrees of ground clearance.
