Question:

Does the crank extension stay connected to the winch? If so, what keeps it from moving and banging around? If not, how does the crank extension connect to the winch? Thanks, 2017 Keystone Laredo 342RD 5th wheel.

The Lippert Components RV Spare Tire Carrier with Winch - 71" Overall Width # LC159041 will use the Replacement Crank Handle for Lippert Components Manual Scissor Jack # LC285324. The Replacement Crank Extension for Lippert Components Spare Tire Winch Assemblies - 35-1/2" # LC1315411.

The extension is to remain attached you can use a pin or even weld it in place. The 71 inch extension will require a mount to hold the extension in place at the frame to support the opposite end of the extension. I recommend using a galvanized two hole strap you can find at the local hardware store.
