Hey Ken, welcome back. There's no specific bracket or support made to hold up the Replacement Crank Extension item # LC1315411 when it's connected to the Lippert Spare Tire Winch item # LC159056. You'll need to fabricate some kind of bracket or support to secure the extension.

We've had some interesting pictures sent in of how other customers have secured theirs. I attached a couple of them below.

What kind of trailer or motorhome do you have?

I bought a pipe clamp from the hardware store and secured it to one of the supports with self tapping screws. It works great, I haven’t had any issues with it. What I saw in the pictures from others works too, just depends on your skill level I guess as to how creative you want to get. I hope that helps answer your question.

I used a conduit clamp on mine, fastened it with self tappers to a support underneath. Works good that way, haven't had any issues with it.

The rear "bumper" on my Class C Motorhome is a hollow metal rectangle for storing the septic hoses so that wasn't an option for hanging a spare. I crawled under the rear end and looked up at there appeared be a sub-structure for a spare tire minus the cable lift. I was careful to ensure proper support the weight, but it works perfectly.

@JerredH When I bought the RV new the salesman told me that only the most expensive models came with a spare tire, and if you had road hazard insurance you don't need one anyway. That made me think the structure was already under there and I found that it was.

I punched a round hole using acetylene torches through the trailer's C channel. The crank extension beds in the hole.

My trailer came with a piece of angle iron to hold the shaft of the OEM spare tire lift that i replaced. I welded a piece of flat bar to the original bracket with a hole for the new crank extension shaft. I also drilled through the extension shaft so that I could put a pin through to make sure it never unwinds on the road. additional modifications: - Welded a nut inside the hex end of the tube to make sure it didn't deform under load, well a competent welder friend did the job. - Painted the shaft black.
