Question:

I have a 2008 dodge 2500 long bed with the front 5th wheel mount brackets to the out side of frame u-bolts to the inside and the rear 5th wheel mount brackets to the inside of frame u-bolts to the outside. will the #2299 air bag work with this set up? Thank you very much!

Any suspension enhancement kit that bolts to the inside or outside of the frame or has brackets that touch the inside or outside of the frame could possibly cause interference with the 5th wheel brackets already installed on your truck. This includes # F2299 and most other similar products. But, Air Lift # AL57295, installs on the bottom of the frame rails as you can see in the instructions I have linked so is a potential candidate for you.

What I recommend if the truck does not have factory overload springs is to use SuperSprings # SSA15MTKT. This kit will not interfere with the 5th wheel mounting brackets already installed on your Ram. I have included a link to the installation details and a link to a video for you.
